What is a moderator?
A moderator/elder moderator is a pubby in higher status who volunteers to perform a few humble duties for the community: Moderators can remove chats from the chatroom if they find them objectionable or off-topic. They can ban spammers and other abusive users from posting in the chatroom. Elder moderators can remove articles if they find inappropriate content in the articles. If there are HTML inconsistencies in user's articles, they can step in to modify the articles. They can also ban spammers and other abusive users from posting articles. Elder moderators have no cooldown on article publishing and don't need to send them for review. Moderators and Elder Moderators are expected to enforce site rules and abide by moderator guidelines. Both are considered levels of honor.
What if moderators are bad or ineffective?
Please keep in mind that moderators are asked to enforce site rules and abide by the moderator guidelines to maintain a healthy community. If you have an issue with a moderator or the way the community is being run, please contact the Administrator by sending an email to [email protected].
